BMW Engine Computer (DME and DDE) CloninG

​BMW Engine Computers have few names:

​

• DME - Digital Motor Electronics

• DDE - Digital Diesel Electronics

• ECU - Electronic Control Unit

• ECM - Electronic Control Module
   

In this case, It's all same, We prefer to call it DME.

​

There are few Reasons why DME or DDE may fail.
 

We've seen DMEs and DDEs damaged by 

• Water Flood

• Failed component on the board

• Damage by fire

• Incorrect programming and coding

• Other Reasons

​

In most cases, module can be cloned to compatible unit, Cloning means making full copy of program and data parts.

​
